It’s been a very long while! Happy New Year, to any readers who remain! I felt that if I didn’t start writing something, anything, again, here on the blog, I would very likely have given up on it, and on myself as a writer of anything. There are many reasons for my silence, but the most exciting and relevant is my search for a suitable lair for all things Victorian Librarian. I be buying a house, or trying to be buying a house, at least. It’s all rather complicated, oft infuriating, reasonably upsetting, but most interesting. My requirements are fairly simple, fortunately, given there are no castles, palaces, or gothic mansions to be had within reasonable distance from work. Moonacre Manor or Green Knowe would be perfect, and after a busy week I still sometimes long for my childhood dream of a house with its own causeway. For now, a good-sized kitchen, lots of space for books and for at least one cat, all wrapped up in a tenement flat- shaped bow, will do wonderfully.
