It’s the 1st of October! How did that happen? Suddenly it’s dark even earlier than I was expecting pre-clocks changing, but on the plus side, there are gorgeous sunsets, like the one in my photo above, to admire on the way home.
I had no plans for a blog entry today, having offline plans, but was prompted by a Facebook memory in which a friend asked if I were doing Blogtoberfest. Twitter hashtag research for #blogtoberfest led to the discovery of a music festival at the Finsbury pub in London – 31 Days of Gigs. The hashtag #blogtober was more helpful: lots of people are committing to writing one blogpost every day of the month. Several appear to be working to blogging prompts set elsewhere, while others are setting their own list of prompts, and others still are going where the mood and month take them. Given my lack of planning for this challenge, I’ll be seeing what each day brings. There will certainly be days when I will just be happy if I can get something posted.
Today being almost over, I’m going to end the post as I began it, with a photo. Before I read the Facebook memory mentioned above, I saw the photo and quote below posted by the L. M. Montgomery Literary Society on their page:
How could I dare to disagree with Anne Shirley?
